Dear Parents:

Another festive season is upon us and our center is gearing up for Christmas. On behalf of our team of staff, I would like to express our sincere thanks to all parents who supported out Purdy’s Chocolate Fund Raiser.

Christmas Open House and potluck supper will be held on Thursday, Dec.4, ‘14 from 5 to 6.30 pm at the centre.

Please consider this as a personal invitation to join us for this annual event at the center. It is a great opportunity for parents to meet and spend time with staff members and other parents on an informal basis. Please do not forget to bring your favorite dish for the potluck table -salads, rolls, sandwiches, main dish, fruit or veggie platter, desserts, squares, crackers and cheese, pizza, multi-cultural items, are all welcome. We will provide beverages. Please do not bring juice boxes, pop, candy and popcorn. We will post a sign- up sheet next week.

We will kick off the party with a magic show for children from 4.30 to 5 PM. Potluck supper will be set up in the lower level from 5 PM onwards. Santa Claus will arrive around that time and will be upstairs to pass on goodies for your children and to pose for photographs.

Other dates to remember:

1. Photo day: Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 8 to 10 am. Details are posted.

2. Daycare will remain closed during the last week of December. We will be closing at 12 Noon on Wednesday, December 24 and opening on Friday, January 2, 2015.

We will be sending out form for parents to sign up for our monthly newsletters to be sent to your email id from January on wards. This is our humble effort to be more environmentally conscious. Your email ids will be treated with confidentiality.

Winter is upon us, but as long as it is not dangerously cold, we will be taking children outdoors at least for a short while each day. We request you to kindly refrain from asking us to keep your child indoors if they are not feeling well. Our daycare policy is that if a child is well enough to attend daycare, he or she should be well enough to take part in all our activities, indoors and outdoors. Please make sure that your child has weather appropriate outdoor wear on all days. We will not be responsible for misplaced outdoor wear that are not clearly labeled with your child’s name.

As always, we thank each of you for your continued support and cooperation. Wish you a happy festive season and see you all at our Christmas Party.

Sue
